Everyone’s first day of school looks different, but when students have a backpack and school supplies — like markers, scissors, pencils and notebooks — it sets the stage for a successful year. School supplies are the foundation of successful learning, belonging and classroom confidence.

CHOOSE YOUR SCHOOL SUPPLY PACK(s)

Volunteering at home is simple with convenient Old National Bank drop-off locations from Tuesday, June 9 – Friday, August 14. Follow these 5 easy steps to volunteer at home today 

5 Steps to Volunteer at Home: 

  1. Determine the type and quantity of school supply packs you’d like to assemble and donate.
  2. Sign up to let us know where you plan to drop off your pack(s).
  3. Purchase the listed items and assemble each pack by placing everything into a 2-gallon Ziploc bag. *Only complete school supply packs with all items listed in the pack will be accepted.
  4. Label each bag accordingly (elementary or middle/high school).
  5. Drop off the completed school supply packs Tuesday, June 9 – Friday, August 14 at the location you selected during signup.

Before You Shop:

  • We welcome you to add a homemade “encouragement card” featuring original art and positive messages to add to your school supply packs! Use a notecard or card stock and please keep size less than 5x7. 

Elementary School Supply Pack

  • 2 notebooks (wide-ruled, spiral-bound)
  • 2 pocket folders
  • 2 erasers (beveled)
  • 2 glue sticks (washable)
  • 1 box of markers (standard colors)
  • 1 box of crayons (standard colors)
  • 1 box of #2 pencils
  • 1 box of colored pencils (standard colors)
  • 1 pencil pouch
  • 1 pair of scissors (5-inch blunt tip)
  • 1 pencil sharpener (with receptacle)

PLACE ALL ITEMS INTO A 2-GALLON ZIPLOC BAG

Middle / High School Supply Pack

  • 5 notebooks (college-ruled, spiral-bound)
  • 5 pocket folders
  • 2 highlighters
  • 1 box of pens (black or blue)
  • 1 box of #2 pencils
  • 1 scientific calculator (graphing function optional, ~$20 max)

PLACE ALL ITEMS INTO A 2-GALLON ZIPLOC BAG

DROP OFF OPTIONS

Open drop-off:
A designated collection box will be located inside the lobby of only these participating Old National Bank locations Tuesday, June 9 through Friday, August 14, 2026. Completed school supply packs can be dropped off during open business hours. Be sure to check hours of operation, as some locations may have varying schedules and could be closed on federal holidays, such as Juneteenth and Independence Day.

Scheduled drop-off:
If you aren't able to drop off your packs at an Old National Bank location, select "Schedule a Drop-off at United Way" during signup, and a member of the Volunteer United team will reach out to coordinate a drop-off at Greater Twin Cities United Way's office: 404 S 8th St, Minneapolis, MN 55404.
