Trent Blain Senior Vice President of Marketing and Engagement

Trent oversees the United Way team responsible for driving the organization’s brand, marketing, volunteerism, events, communications and individual engagement efforts.
Prior to joining United Way, Trent worked at General Mills for 23 years, serving in several different marketing and general management roles for the company. He received his bachelor’s degree in business from Indiana University and his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
A passionate community supporter, Trent also serves on the board of directors for Beyond Walls Minnesota and is a mentor in the business community through the Menttium Corporation. Prior to this, he served on the boards of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity and the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery. Originally from Cincinnati, Trent and his wife, Heidi, call Minneapolis home. Outside of work, Trent enjoys biking, golf, dining out, Vikings games, DIY yardwork and spending time with friends and family.
