Kim Stone Senior Vice President of Advancement and Innovation

With 20 years of experience in major gifts and development operations, Kim serves as the senior vice president of advancement and innovation at Greater Twin Cities United Way. In her role, she furthers the mission of the organization by connecting generous donors with areas of need in the community; oversees management and development in the areas of major gifts, foundations and planned giving; and has governance responsibilities with the Greater Twin Cities United Way board of directors.
Prior to joining United Way, Kim held various positions at Augsburg College, including assistant vice president of advancement, major gifts. She also held positions in alumni relations and development for several universities based in southern Florida. Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications and public relations from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a master’s degree in international business administration from Nova Southeastern University
A St. Paul native, today Kim lives in the east metro with her husband, daughter and son. She enjoys community activities, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
