Kate Blomberg Senior Donor Advisor
Inspiration: “Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are.” — Brene Brown
What working in this community means to me: “The Twin Cities are often recognized as one of the best places to live in the country— I’m so proud to call this community home! However, I recognize that’s not the case for everyone, and I am blessed to work for an organization committed to making that true for each and every member of our community.”
Kate has the privilege of working with some of United Way’s most generous donors. She connects their personal passions with needs in the community to make a significant and lasting impact. Kate provides ongoing donor stewardship and service to engage donors in the mission of United Way through hands-on volunteer opportunities and organizational events.
Prior to joining the team at United Way, Kate started her career in talent acquisition. She then spent 11 years with Randstad Technologies as an account manager and sales director, building relationships with Fortune 500 executives to sell technology staffing solutions. She attended Drake University, studying business administration.
Kate and her husband Tyge live in the White Bear Lake area with their two daughters, Aven and Selah. Kate serves her local community as a worship leader at her church and sits on the board of the Mahtomedi Area Education Foundation. In her spare time, she enjoys boating, spending time outdoors, cooking, exploring the local food scene, Gopher football, playing with her dogs, and spending time with family and friends.
