When you volunteer, you feel like you’re giving back to society and contributing to the community. When I was a kid some of my biggest mentors were my coaches. Now that I’m a coach and mentor, my approach is ‘each one, teach one,’ with the hope that each young person I work with is inspired to mentor others as they get older.
Kimberly Greene-DeLanghe Farm for All
I grew up getting food from the food shelf sometimes. When I got into farming I wanted to grow really good food for people who couldn’t access or afford it otherwise.
No one in Minnesota, or in this country, should go hungry. I volunteer to make sure hungry people are getting the healthy and nutritious food so many of us take for granted.
It's important to give back to the community and teach your children and grandchildren that they can make a difference.
