Family Philanthropy Series: You Need a Will
May 10 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
ABOUT THIS EVENT:
If Google has failed you in the topic of creating a will or if you have yet to consider if you need a will, this Family Philanthropy Series session is for you. According to Gallup (2021), less than half of U.S. adults have a will that describes how they would like their money and estate handled after they die. In the U.S. there is also a large discrepancy based on race in the number of people who have a will, with 55% of white people vs. 28% of Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, Pacific Islander and other Communities of Color having one.
In this session, our speaker aims to demystify the act of creating a will through discussion of the following:
- WHY making a will is important for you and your family
- HOW to find an estate attorney
- WHAT assets do you have?
- HOW to give to your favorite cause through your will
- WHEN is the right time to revise a will?

Nathan Laible, Owner / Consultant at Laible Consulting LLC
