Women United’s Executive Leadership Series is an opportunity to meet top women leaders in the Twin Cities while exploring career development topics and community issues.
Join us for an evening of new connections and inspiration as we gather to network with Laurie Nordquist, executive vice president, Wells Fargo, leading enterprise-wide commitment to customer initiatives and a former Greater Twin Cities United Way board member.
We’ll mix and mingle over appetizers and beverages before hearing from Laurie about her personal approach to leadership and what her career has taught her about community issues. You’ll have a chance to meet Laurie and other leaders while networking in a causal, friendly environment.

Laurie Nordquist is the executive vice president, leading enterprise-wide commitment to customer initiatives, for Wells Fargo, a company committed to giving back. For the ninth consecutive year, Wells Fargo led United Way’s largest workplace giving campaign nationwide. Learn more.
Laurie leads the personal insurance team based in Minneapolis, Minn. – as well as the risk team dedicated to our enterprise commitment to customer efforts. Laurie serves as executive advisor to the Wells Fargo Veterans team member network and has led the Diversity & Inclusion Council for insurance.
Laurie joined Wells Fargo in 1990, serving in several leadership positions overseeing sales and product management for the investment and retirement businesses. In 2003, she was named executive vice president and head of Wells Fargo Institutional Retirement and Trust until 2014 when she joined the insurance group.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo, she held positions at Securian Insurance and Marquette Banks.
Laurie earned her bachelor’s degree from St. Olaf College, graduating with honors as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She has received many industry awards including Women in Business Honoree, Top Woman in Finance, 12th most influential in the industry by 401K Wire.
She has served on several boards including Greater Twin Cities United Way, the Institutes, The Center for Economic Development (part of the Corporate Board), the Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association, Employee Benefit Research Institute, and the Minnesota Private College Foundation. She is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
