Essential Supply Drive
The Minnesota Wild, in partnership with Greater Twin Cities United Way and Toyota, will host an Essential Supply Drive on Wednesday, July 22 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. outside Xcel Energy Center and Saint Paul RiverCentre along Kellogg Blvd. (175 W. Kellogg Blvd.). The drive will provide Keystone Community Services and Hallie Q. Brown Community Center and the communities they serve in the Saint Paul Midway area with the items they need to continue to thrive.
Needed items include non-perishable food, hygiene and project support goods. For a full list of items, please click here. For planning purposes, please email VolunteerUnited@gtcuw.org to let us know when you would like to drop off your supplies. An email RSVP is encouraged but not required to donate.
The first 150 people who donate will receive a Kevin Fiala autographed photo and a Minnesota Wild hat. Additionally, all fans who make a donation will receive Minnesota Wild giveaway items including a Zach Parise and Mikko Koivu canvas print, a United Way “Live United” t-shirt and complimentary Coca-Cola products. Patrons will also be able to check out the Toyota Tundra trucks being utilized to collect and deliver the day’s donations to the nonprofits in need.
To proactively maintain safe distancing, donors should plan to pull into the cutouts along Kellogg Blvd. (signs will be visible) and wait in their vehicles until volunteers greet them. Participants will unload their donation items from their vehicles and place them onto carts located curbside. The event will follow CDC guidelines, so people interested in donating should plan to wear a face covering and maintain social distancing.
