Last Monday, General Mills and UNCF hosted the 23^rd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Breakfast.  I have had the privilege of attending a number of these celebrations over the years and let me tell you, it is always a fun and inspiring party.

February is Black History Month, and I’m focusing on African American literature and history in my reading.

In these increasingly polarized and volatile times, I found the following story to be a good reminder of the power of communication and the power of listening. Add a dash of compassion and stir.
